Don't you think "Napoleon Crossing the Alps.png" would have been a better title? Too bad the "move" tab doesn't work for images. Dbenbenn 00:23, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Doubt

[edit]

There are several versions of of this picture. Is it really the one possessed by Musée national du château de Malmaison?

The picture on the center is the one in this file ("David-Napoleon.png").

It is different from "Napoleon4.jpg"(on the left),which is also described as possessed by Musée national du château de Malmaison.

And it seems the same as "Jacques-Louis David 008.jpg"(on the right), which is described as possessed by Kunsthistorisches Museum (Vienna).

The first picture (Napoleon4.jpg) is from the Malmaison museum, the second (Napoleon.png) and third (Jacques-Louis David 008.jpg) are the same portrait from the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Vienna)

There is also this version

From the Charlottenburg museum (Berlin)
