Mistakes and rendundancy

In its current form, two columns are redundant with others: Russian is the same as Bulgarian Traditional, Macedonian is the same as Serbian. The PNG with the same name as this SVG is a bit clearer:

1. The Serbian г looks like a roman i with macron, not like a mirrored s.
2. Bulgarian is special in that its upright lowercase letters look more like the cursive/italic variants than their uppercase equivalents, i.e. s/ƨ-like г, g-like д, n-like п, m-like т and w-like ш. — Christoph Päper 17:33, 3 June 2018 (UTC)

Answers.

1. Actually no. Please go and see some Serbian books and more importantly the Serbian Orthography from 1994 and 2010. The one from 1994 has very nice discussion about italics. The most important thing is the macron (the dash above). Additionaly open the latest Macedonian orthography .
2. Bulgarian has its traditional look that is exactly the same as Russian and is in wide use (my guess is more than 95% of the texts are with traditional looks) and its modern look that is more like a completely new font. — Gojdo.

Yes, the macron is probably more important than the (optionally) narrower style.

My understanding is that font foundries just recently began to support local variants for Bulgarian that had been preferred traditionally and the Russian style had been used in the meantime, i.e. what you call a "completely new font" is actually the older style.

Anyhow, the redundancy in the image is unnecessary and should be removed. Here is a faked table of how I might do it, which should get background colors to mark local preferences: — Christoph Päper 23:01, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
