The caption describes "Cídipe" writing to "Aconcio". That is Cydippe/Kydippe (es), an Anient Athenian noblewoman, writing to someone called Akontios. What would be her relation to Mechtchild? If there is any, it is far from evident. --Ehitaja (talk) 23:18, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

She is definitely Cydippe. The image comes from this manuscript from the National Library of France (Bibliothèque nationale de France, ms. 875 [1]. The identification with Mechthild von Magdeburg is absolutely wrong. Macarrones (talk) 19:28, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
