I think this image has been incorrectly named.

Although this car is labelled as a Cortina Mark IV, I believe that it is a Cortina Mark V. The cars were similar, but the Mark V had larger windows and (critical to identification from this angle) front indicator lamps that wrapped around a little to the side of the car which removed the need for side repeater indicators in markets (such as Italy) where it was required that indicators be visible from the side of the car.

Another difference is that the Mark V seems to have been a little heavier. That may simply reflect the extra weight from the larger windows. But it might also indicate the use of slightly thicker sheet steel for some of the panels, since the Cortina Mk Vs do seem to have held off the corrosion killer significantly more effectively than the Mk IV.
