There is no obvious reason to dispute the identity of names atteched to this plate. Chironia lanosanthera (= Merremia peltata) and Ipomoea campanulata (= Stictocardia campanulata). The confusion may have been caused by the unfortunate coloring of the plate by a Wiki Commons user. The flowers of Merremia peltata is white, not pink as in some of the "sister plates" on Wiki Commons. Also, the species Stictocardia campanulata is often confused in litterature with Stictocardia tiliifolia. Uleli (talk) 14:32, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
