These are not the Arms of Canada; they are the Arms of the United Kingdom.

In the Canadian arms, the lion surmounting the helm is holding a red maple leaf in its right paw. And the Canadian shield is divided into five sections (England, Scotland, Ireland and France quartered, above three red maple leaves for Canada), whereas this is divided into four (England, Scotland, Ireland, England). The ribbon encircling the Canadian shield should read "desiderantes meliorem patriam", but the ribbon encircling the UK shield reads "Honi soit qui mal y pense". The motto for the Canadian arms is "a mari ad usque mare" whereas the motto of the UK is "Dieu et mon droit".
