The picture shown is NOT of Ch. didymus. It shows Ch. decipiens Cleve. Please do not accept amateur contributions of taxa without confirmation by established phytoplankton taxonomists. It just adds to the confusion of what is science and what is not. Yours, Bo Sundström, Ph.D

P.S. You can check with me for the diatom genera: Chaetoceros, Proboscia, Rhizosolenia for sure confirmation. I am also pretty good on most phytoplankton

Sorry, man, but the species name is on the picture and has been given by a biologist of the aquarium where I took the picture.
