Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands
[edit]Switzerland does not have a catholic majority but there are more catholics than protestants. In The Netherlands the dominant religion (with 24% ) is the roman catholic one. Also in Germany, with approx. 30%, catholics are the largest religion. So why is Switzerland coded as majority catholic but Germany and The Netherlands are not ? Where is the source? Austria and Belgium

- Austria: Data for the end of 2012 from the Austrian Roman Catholic church lists 5,360,000 members, or 63.5% of the total Austrian population. Sunday church attendance was 753,701 or 9% of the total Austrian population in 2005. European Commission survey of 2012 indicates that a significantly higher 86% of the Austrian population is Christian and 77% are Roman Catholic.
- Belgium: According to Discrimination in the European Union in 2012 Christianity, in particular Catholicism, is the largest religion in Belgium with about 58% of the population adhering to the Catholic Church. And according to the CIA world factbook 75% of Belgians are Catholics.
- France: 64% of the French declared themselves to be Catholics, and according to Pew (60.4%) in 2011. and Pew, (63.0%) in 2010 and The World Factbook (2012). all say France is a Catholic majority country.--Jobas (talk) 00:47, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
