Some Mistakes

[edit]

Nice product of fantasy ;-)

  • There was no camp on the right side of the Rhine, because this old loop of the Rhine doesn't exist at roman times, it was medieval (1200).
  • The name of the camp is wrong too. There was no "castra vetera", there was only "vetera castra" or - short - "vetera". "castra vetera" is an artificial expression by Philipp Houben, created in the early 19th century, never used in scientific works since that time, only used in an unserious popular scientific way, in some touristic brochures and in some maps. Unfortunatelly.

Thanx for your attention. --Hartmann Linge (talk) 12:11, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
