Very unecessary here, does not improve the quality but is only disrupting.
- 1) The file is not in use on any project (except one research userpage where it does not matter)
- 2) cropping will break possible attributions of hotlinking reusers and make them breaching copyrights
- 3) cropping will possibly violate the license §4b in use in Wikipedia because of the Wikipedia gentleman agreement that the attribution is not under the image but one klick away. Thats possibly not supported by the license.
- 4) cropping will possibly violate the license §4b in use in Wikimedia Commons since also this page does not correctly attribute the image as outlined in the caption - or it will not correctly attribute the image as required by the license if we remove the caption.
I let your unecessary and bot-like "{{crop}}" exist on files that are (validly and for longer time) in use in Wikipedia. Recognize this please, I not reverted this tagging on all files although I strongly disagree with your choice. I disagree with this unecessary edits if there is absolutely no improvement and therefore revert it here. --Martin H. (talk) 22:24, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
