Title: Himlen over Berlin/Heaven no. 7/7 über Berlin. The title is inspired by the Danish title of the Wim Wenders movie Wings of Desire (Himlen over Berlin=The sky over Berlin) and a Nina Hagen song, where she is living in "Heaven no. 7/7". They were two of the artists' heroes in 1990 and also represent East/West Germany, woman/man, music/film etc. The painting shows Brandenburger Tor (in turquoise) (KB), flying superdogs with 70's shoes (LH), the two angels Nina and Wim (KB) and two green airplanes from a travel ad in the S-Bahn (LH/KB) surrounded by a purple patterned frame (LH). Artists: Karina Bjerregaard & Lotte Haubart Country: Denmark Painted: July 1990 Restored/repainted: June 2000 Restored similar to the 1990-version: September 2009 Blog in Danish: www.mandala.dk/blogs/EastSideGallery/7959
