I would be interested in the source/reference for this map. I see that, as oft quoted, that the Congo River is the dividing line between the two species, but I can see the river travelling through the blue are. Inaccurate map

It's not a huge problem, but ... The description states that the natural boundary is the Congo River. I believe this true - however, that's not what's shown on the map. The author seems to have shaved a huge area from the northern part of the bonobo habitat. (I live within the bonobo habitat) Secondly, chimpanzees live in the 'triangle' of the Ubangi and Congo Rivers - this is not shown on the map. I met a researcher in Mbandaka who was going specifically to study chimpanzees, not bonobo, in this area. Francis Hannaway (talk) 13:23, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
