factual accuracy of the description

[edit]

It does not seem at all that this painting depicted the entry of Mohammed II into Constantinople. It seems more likely that this painting belongs to a series of paintings by Benjamin-Constant about life in Morocco. Features of architecture, clothing - everything points to a Moroccan origin. I think that this picture depicts the procession of the Moroccan king leaving to recieve european ambassador. Benjamin-Constant depicted this event in a series of his works: (this picture shows the same tower behind the wall) Akerlea Velázquez (talk) 11:16, 30 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
