EJ Pennington (1858-1911) was an American, born in Indiana. He spent some time in Europe (ca. 1896-1898), working together with Harry Lawson to whom he sold patent rights for 100.000 £, which in fact were near to worthless. A Pennington fitted with "unpuncturable" tires was entered in the first London-Brighton run 1896 (organized by Lawson), but was brought to Brighton mainly by train after a tire punctured when still in London.--Chief tin cloud (talk) 08:34, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
