Fake?

[edit]

In the black-and-white photograph, the blanket on the horse and the shield look lighter than the background of the banner. Whereas the blue color in such photographs usually looks darker than red. In addition, the blue color in Lithuanian heraldry before the 1920s did not occur at all. The shape of the rider resembles the drawings of Antanas Žmuidzinavičius with different geometry and colors of the coat of arms.

In addition, the Kingdom of Lithuania was not a state. And he didn't have an official flag. --Лобачев Владимир (talk) 13:24, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with your opinion of color. I modified it to a more appropriate color based on the black-and-white picture.Samhanin (talk) 15:30, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Samhanin, thank you for understanding. Please note that the blanket on the horse, the harness and the color of the shield are lighter than the main background. This is achieved either by using a darker background (dark red, sanguine) or lighter Vytis details (rose). --Лобачев Владимир (talk) 09:05, 10 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
