The file name "BESK Operator Panel" is somewhat misleading, as the picture shows the front panel from one of the Facit EDB clones of the original BESK machine (which was built as one of its kind); see the image source. The front panel for BESK remains mounted on the original operator's console, which has been preserved for museum display, while the console of the Facit EDB machine which this panel came from was probably scrapped. The display technology used for the 18 hexadecimal digits on the BESK and Facit EDB operator's consoles weren't Nixie tube (Q289241), but lightguide display (Q6546296). SM5POR (talk) 10:32, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
