Hi IJReid, I was also thinking of uploading this image, but I noticed that the two animals are not found in the same formation, so I'm wondering whether it can be considered correct or not? Any thoughts? FunkMonk (talk) 16:39, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
- Damn, didn't notice that. Muttaburrasaurus is apparently 106 mya, but I'm not sure how reliable that age is, and Australovenator is definitely 95 mya. However, I am pretty sure that Rapator or one of the "tyrannosaurid" bones, which are likely from megaraptorans, are about the same age as Muttaburrasaurus, and since Rapator is a single hand phalanx, as well as potentially a synonym of Australovenator, the image may not be too bad off. - So at least it could be considered a "generic megaraptoran", and perhaps be used in the Muttaburrasaurus article if that is ever expanded, but probably not in Australovenator... Unless it is formally synonymised with Rapator, though the age difference and incompleteness of the latter would make this unlikely... FunkMonk (talk) 17:42, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, thats what I would suggest doing. Anyways, the Muttaburrasaurus is one of few illustrations we have for that taxon anyways. IJReid (talk) 15:55, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
