Location of the photographer

[edit]

I was curious to know the location that the photo was taken from and wanted to see if I could determine it with only Google Maps/Earth.

Using the orientation of a few prominent buildings in the Buckhead and Midtown/Downtown skyline I was able to reckon the angle it was taken from. Then, finding the buildings most prominent in the foreground on the left I was able to see that this was taken from Vinings Hill. Given a few prominent options (One Vinings Mountain condominums, Overlook 111 office building, and Overlook 111's parking structure) I was able to match the alignment of the North Parkway Square clock tower with the 3324 Peachtree Rd condominium complex and determined it was taken from Overlook 111's parking structure.

This places Buckhead downtown approximately 6 miles away and downtown Atlanta approximately 9 miles away from this perspective. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zerstorer23 (talk • contribs) 17:33, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
