Hi, this (and the other photos in this series) is not Eschscholzia californica but a species of Argemone, most probably Argemone mexicana. Nova (talk) 07:04, 19 September 2021 (UTC)

- @Syrio: I'm sure, I take many photos in botanical gardens and it happens that the labels are in a misleading position or simply wrong. The flowers are similar in color and shape, but look closer at the shape of leaves and fruits:
