This snake is incorrectly identified as "Amethystine Python, Morelia amethistina, photographed at the Bronx Zoo" This snake is correctly identified as a Halmahera python, Simalia tracyae. I'm certain of the identification, as I am one of the authors of the paper that described tracyae (Harvey et al, 2000). David Barker
