This is 100% not Adenia subsessilifolia. The featured plant is some kind of Euphorbia, which should have been obvious since there are clearly triangular (Euphorb) fruit capsules at some of the stem tips. A. subsessilifolia has a completely different habit and doesn't have an upright aspect, it's a dense shrub of twiggy stems near the ground, pointed upward at a diagonal, horizontal, or arcing. Like most Adenia, the stems are also distinctly mottled (just white/grey/purple, vs. the green/olive of most others), which this isn't.

There is a real Adenia of some other species in the photo, at the right. Believe it or not just because there's a sign in a botanic garden, it doesn't make it true. IME, not even being an expert, most gardens are filled with erroneous tags. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.181.158.36 (talk) 02:28, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Edit: On further zooming, it appears that there are two stems of this species in partial view, just barely. Just to the left of the placard, at the very bottom-center of the image, looking like lifeless twigs. This is still not a good image to represent the plant, because you have to zoom in all the way to make out these stems, and the Euphorbia is featured in a way that implies it is the Adenia in question. Especially when this image is used on the page view, you can't see the two stems. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.181.158.36 (talk) 02:56, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
