I don't mean to be rude, especially not to whoever designed this flag, but it is not the most accurate design concept. Based on the history of American Flag designs, as well as the methodology of the current Government Specification flags, which requires star circumference (circumference of circle around star) to be 4/5 of the height of a stripe, and mandates that the centers of these stars be form vertical and horizontal lines that are equidistant from each other as well as the edge of the blue field.

I have created a design here that fits the standard criteria one would expect for a 53 star flag. Anyone can feel free to use this design, as I believe it is public domain.
