Correct identification?

[edit]

At Flickr this picture is said to portrait a Brubru (Nilaus afer). The photo is taken in Botswana. Compared to the pictures I can find it looks more like several other species of the Malaconotidae family.

But of course this could be one of the subspecies of the Brubru that we don't have any other pictures of. / Achird (talk) 13:51, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Note that the picture File:690V4693 - Flickr - Lip Kee.jpg, also said to be a Brubru, is taken just two minutes later. It is thus possible that it even shows the same individual. / Achird (talk) 14:00, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The bird at the picture at World Wildlife Images: Dryoscopus cubla okavangensis is so close to the bird at this picture that I will reidentify it as Dryoscopus cubla. Several other photos is also very similar. / Achird (talk) 14:34, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
