This is actually not so simple. You don't have America to one side and Europe to the other of one fissure or fault. There is instead a complicated arrangement of en echelon fault and fissure systems up to 50 km wide which accommodates rifting in this area.Reykholt (talk) 09:23, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
