The clusters of dots appear to be centred on the countries' capitals. this is misleading, since it implies that there some meaning in their locations when there is none (this is a distribution map after all). For example, barley is produced in the Canadian prairies, but the dots are all clustered in Ontario and Quebec.

This would be more neutral if the dots were centred on the countries and ignored the capital cities, unless the actual barley-growing regions of all of them are known. --anon — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.7.108.203 (talk) 18:38, 9 December 2007‎ (UTC)[reply]

This is a problem with this user. He/she has created many such maps and they are maddeningly uninformative.--75.34.16.174 (talk) 04:07, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please add info here that can help correct the map

South Africa The dot is in the correct place for the dry-land production in the Western Cape near the town of Caledon. There is also an irrigated production area in the North West Province Andbrew.downes (talk) 12:00, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
