This image (and six others with other the same category listings) had their categories changed by a bot in a way that made them no longer show up as commons for the Genesis Suite, where a planned edit will use these original source references! They are also appropriate items for Nathaniel Shilkret.

As a separate issue, "Nat Shilkret" properly should be redirected to "Nathaniel Shilkret" (rather than the other way around), since, although Shilkret was known to the public with both names, Nathaniel is the correct first name, and it as it appears on his autobiography and as it appears on countless semi-classical Victor 78s and as it appears on many motion picture screen credits. The choice of "Nat" was likely made by someone familiar with Shilkret's popular recordings, not with his work as a whole.

I await a response before making any reversions. Niel Shell (talk) 17:19, 9 February 2010 (UTC)grandson, archivist and editor of the autobiography of Nathaniel Shilkret[reply]

The only edit the bot made to this page was to change Category:Nathaniel Shilkret to Category:Nat Shilkret, due to the fact that one is a redirect to the other. If you think that this redirect needs to be changed, you should propose a change; I'm sorry I'm not quite sure what the accepted process for this is on Commons. With respect to "Genesis Suite," I cannot quite understand what you are getting at. --R'n'B (talk) 17:51, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This is what motivated me to write: I uploaded seven images, the seven that the bot changed one category for. Prior to the change of category, the seven images (and three others) appeared when I clicked on the commons link in the Genesis Suite article. After the category-change edits, the images no longer showed when I clicked on Genesis Suite commons link.
Just now, when I clicked on the Genesis Suite commons link, all the seven images again appear. I have no idea what has happened, but the result I wanted most has been achieved: the images are back on the Genesis Suite commons. As long as they stay there, I am a happy camper. As to the "Nat" versus "Nathaniel" redirect, that is less important to me at this time. At any rate, if you had anything to do with the images reappearing, thank you!
