This Duesenberg J with Chassis No 2276 and engine No J-255 was delivered when new with Limousine coachwork by Judkins. When the car was restored in the late 1980s, a new body was created that was an exact duplicate of the LaGrande / Walker Torpedo Phaeton. This was a body style that was actualy offered. LaGrande was a designation chosen by Duesenberg for it's in-house styling team which was headed by Gordon Buehrig at first. or customers, the impression that LaGrande was a coachbuilder which it was not. A. H. Walker is the name of a coachbuilder that belonged to the Cord empire as did Duesenberg. In fact, Walker built only seven bodys of several types to LaGrande designs.--Chief tin cloud (talk) 23:39, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
