The informations given about the race in 1908 are correct, one can add that the participants were the first at all to cross the continent by automobile in winter (first at all was a Winton in 1903). The car pictured is NOT of the type that won the Great Race. This one is a Thomas Flyer Model 25 5/7 seat touring; the only 40 HP Thomas offered while the race car was a 35/40 Model 35.--Chief tin cloud (talk) 20:12, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
