Rename request not legit

[edit]

The rename request, File:Yamaha PSR9000 (2).jpg, does not meet the standards of renaming because the comparison of the new target and current name is inadequate. The name is written in French which is no exception to renaming. ZooFari 18:22, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I understand what you want to ... Abandon. --Shoulder-synth (talk) 18:54, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'd appreciate an explanation of why it should be a candidate for rename. The description even corresponds to the title. Am I missing something here? My goal is not to "abandon" anything. ZooFari 19:22, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yamaha PSR9000
hmm... prefix "001 Synthetiseur" is misleading name. (Commons:File renaming, Aim 3.)
reason: This product is called "Arranger Workstation" in Yamaha grobal site. Not "Synthesizer" nor "Synthetiseur".
evidence: Yamaha PSR 9000. yamaha.com.
That's all. --Shoulder-synth (talk) 19:45, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed that you used the same French description in your new upload than this one. Unless that description in French is wrong, this file should not be renamed. ZooFari 19:57, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's not related to this discussion. --Shoulder-synth (talk) 20:39, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It is, actually. The description corresponds to the title and is fundamentally necessary to determine if renaming is legit. Do you still wish this file renamed? ZooFari 20:45, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Because I want not to offensive, I've not changed French descriptions. That's All. OVER! --20:57, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
I don't understand what your are asking or objecting. First, you wanted to rename a file and I gave a reason for it why it shouldn't. You state that the name is misleading, so I gave a condition that if the French description is fixed (if it's wrong), then the file could be renamed. You upload a smaller version and still use the same French description, which is exactly what the the current title reads. Either the French description is wrong or you just want the file renamed without following the renaming standards. You decide. ZooFari 21:09, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I suspect you to not understand the situation. "Rename request" was abandoned. "Rename" is not needed. Discussion was ended. --Shoulder-synth (talk) 22:12, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I thought you meant I was abandoning things. My mistake. ZooFari 22:24, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for my short word. I should have wrote as "I decided to abandon the request for renaming" instead of a single word "Abandon".
And, thanks for bringing the rule (Commons:File renaming) to my attention. --Shoulder-synth (talk) 08:45, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
