  • This map cannot be from 1855. If the thick lines are railways, as indicated in the map, than it must be from later than 1864, as the line from Lisbon to Vila Nova de Gaia is complete in the map, but sooner than 1870, because there is no railway line between Beja and Casével, in southern Portugal, that was inaugurated on that year. (the town of Casével is not shown in the map, but it is located between the towns of Ourique and Aljustrel). Thus, unless the map also shown planned or under construction railway lines, it must have been made between 1864 and 1870. Best regards, -- Ajpvalente (talk) 11:57, 27 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
