Benin "bronzes"

My recollection is that these are actually a type of brass, and (if memory serves) from northern Europe. Germany? A very specific and distinctive alloy, presumably traded into Benin. If I come across the article, I'll post it. Pete Tillman (talk) 07:08, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
