Description
Deutsch: Zwischen Vesle und Aisne. Die neue von den Amerikanern besetzte Linie (4. September 1918). Der Eintritt Amerikas in den Krieg war von grösster Bedeutung für die alliierten Heere. Neben unermesslichem Material vermochte Amerika auf die Dauer eines Jahres monatlich rund 300 000 Mann zu stellen. Geschossene, selbständig kämpfende amerikanische Divisionen wurden erstmals im Mai 1918 an der Marne eingesetzt.
