Thin-film interference Rainbow

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Two-dimensional materials tend to stack in oriented plates of various thicknesses. The picture shows an interference from layers in the Zn2In2S5 material. It need to be mentioned a mirror-like picture with a significant color change form bottom part on image to contrary bright color on top. This could be attribute to the exfoliation and wrapping of upper layer. In total we have such beautiful picture due to changing the maximum gain in reflected light.
English: This sample of Zn2In2S5 2D material was prepared in clean room by mechanical exfoliation process and successfully transferred onto PDMS. The photo was taken with 50X magnification on optical confocal microscope. Image is presented as is. And no filters or any changes in gamma were applied.
