Description
English: Skull of Huayangosaurus taibaili.

Symtemtic position: Stegosauridae, Stegosauria, Ornithischia. Locality: Dashanpu, Zigong, Sichuan, China. Age: Middle Jurassic (about 160 million years ago).

Huayangosaurus taibaili is a medium-sized primitive stegosaur donosaur, its skull is wedgy, relatively large and heavily built with leaf-like teeth. This is the best-preserved skull of primitive stegosaur so far known in th world.
