Description
Centsprent met 6 x 4 omkaderde houtsneden, met afbeeldingen van de belevenissen van dienstmeid Saar: zij treedt in dienst bij juffrouw Marmot die haar allerlei taken geeft zoals vegen, spinnen en koken. Saar laat de pot overkoken, wordt berispt door haar juffrouw. De warme stoof die Saar voor haar klaarmaakt, vliegt in brand, waarna ze het huis wordt uitgezet. Saar besluit soldaat te worden en meent het wel te kunnen schoppen tot kapitein, korporaal of sergeant. Jan Klaas kijkt op een bankje toe. Met tweeregelige rijmende onderschriften in Nederlands en Frans.
