Opis vrste

Prepoznatljiv po crnoj cik-cak šari duž spoljnih rubova krila. Često bira osunčane zaklonjene livade, neretko duž reka i potoka. Javlja se s proleća, malo ranije od đurđevdanskog leptira. Smatra se retkom i lokalnom vrstom koja pretežno naseljava jugoistočnu Evropu. U Srbiji je nalažen gotovo svuda, češće na malim nadmorskim visinama.
