Français : Cette gravure montre un panorama de la ville Genève vu du sud. De nombreux bâtiments sont représentés avec certains détails, en deçà des fortifications on peut voir des maisons et leurs annexes, les jardins de Plainpalais, on distingue deux puits à balancier. Plus en avant coule l'Arve (de droite à gauche). Au premier plan se trouvent quelques bâtiments (à Lancy ?) et un petit pont piétonnier sur une rivière (l'Aire ?). L'alignement des hôtels particuliers et bâtiments de la ville haute (rue des Granges, rue de l'Hôtel de ville) domine les murailles et jardins. La tour de l'Île (deuxième tour depuis la gauche) indique la position des ponts sur le Rhône, on ne voit que son sommet, et devant le bastion de Hollande. |
