Español: El Zangarrón es una fiesta folclórica tradicional del pueblo de Sanzoles, Zamora, España. Se celebra el día 26 de diciembre. El Zangarrón es una figura tradicional que según la leyenda defendió la imagen de San Esteban cuando los lugareños quisieron apedrearlo por no hacer un milagro de lluvia. Actualmente, los quintos bailan frente a la imagen de San Esteban mientras el Zangarrón corre entre las filas de danzantes para impedir que los espectadores les puedan interrumpir; también corre detrás de las personas que le muestran dinero para quitárselo.
English: El Zangarrón is a traditional folk festival in the town of Sanzoles, Zamora, Spain. It is celebrated on December 26. The Zangarrón is a traditional figure that according to legend defended the image of San Esteban when the locals wanted to stone him for not doing a rain miracle. Currently, the conscripts dance in front of the image of San Esteban while the Zangarrón runs between the rows of dancers to prevent the spectators from interrupting them; he also runs behind people who show him money to take it away.
