Summary

[edit]
Description

I found this southern species on the roadside landing in the mountains near Banská Bystrica. You can see silver fir needles around. Maybe it results from global warming, normally I would expect it some 20 kilometers south in oak forests.

It was a young individual, some 80 centimeters long with yellow spots behind the head still visible.
