Description The Portrait of Yutog Yontan Gonpo is an 17th-century Tibetan Buddhist thangka of the lama and the physician Yutog Yontan Gonpo (traditionally 708 - 833[1]) of Tibet, now in the Rubin Museum of Art in New York. This style of Tibetan thangka painting is called 'tsal thang' with gold on a vermilion ground.
