Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Yulee Sugar Mill Historic State Park is located in Homasassa, Florida. The sugar Mill and plantation, owned by David Levy Yulee, originally occupied 5,000 acres and was worked by around 1,000 African American slaves. The mill was in operation from 1851 to 1864. Destroyed during the American Civil War, the abandoned ruins were eventually added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. I stumbled across this historic gem while out for a sunday drive on september 4th 2016
