Summary
[edit]DescriptionYou need to cross a busy suburban line to get to the Fushimi Inari shrine (48743361453).jpg | Enough about the Kyoto Railway Museum now, it's now time to go to something more cultural. I'm headed to the Fushimi Inari shrine just outside Kyoto- this is the temple renowned for the scores of vermillion coloured torii gates (arches). But to get there, you need to cross a busy suburban line This part of town is served by the Keihan Railway with a slightly different type of rolling stock, mostly made up of electric multiple unit (EMU) type of trains of which this is one. Simply numbered 01, I could not find much information about this train type on the web. Keihan Electric Railway Co., Ltd. is a Japanese railway operator in Osaka, Kyoto, and Shiga Prefectures. It is known as Keihan, Keihan Dentetsu or "Keihan Densh. Keihan started its operation between Osaka and Kyoto in 1910. It was the first electric railway to connect these two cities, and the first line on the left bank of Yodo River. Keihan later purchased the lines in the Ōtsu area (Ōtsu Line), (Kyoto, Japan, Apr/ May 2019) |
