| Description |
English: Up express at York, Holgate. View northward, towards York Station at the Racecourse Platform (used only on York Race days). Just beyond the Holgate Bridge, the main Goods lines turn left off the main lines, to run through York Yards and rejoin at Skelton Junction the East Coast Main Line after it has passed through York Station. Here at Holgate Platform there were six tracks as far as Dringhouses Yard and four (two 'Sheffield' and two 'Leeds') onwards to Church Fenton, the ECML turning off to Selby at Chaloners Whin Junction. The Up express is the 15.10 York - Leeds - Manchester (Exchange), headed by LMS 'Jubilee' 4-6-0 No. 45658 'Keyes'. |
