  • Original description: Capt. Joseph A. Horn, Jr., commanding officer of USS Lake Erie (CG 70), discusses the capabilities of the Pearl Harbor-based guided missile cruiser with Republic of Korea’s Minister of National Defense Yoon Kwang-ung (center). Yoon met with various military leaders in Hawai’i on Jan. 26-28, including Adm. William Fallon, commander, U.S. Pacific Command. Yoon also visited the Arizona Memorial, the Joint Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Accounting Command onboard Hickam Air Force Base, the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl), the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies and the U.S. Pacific Fleet Submarine Force headquarters.
