Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Yew hedge at Blickling Hall One of the massive yew hedges flanking the driveway at the south front of Blickling Hall, which in 1745 were already described as being 'high'. Thanks to north Norfolk climate, known for the scarcity of snowfalls, and as a result of careful pruning, these ancient hedges are still in very good shape. They are pruned every September, a job that takes two people a fortnight to do.
