English: The text reads "The valiant revolutionary Yero Tsiamis of Chalkidiki - 1854" (in Greek and in French). Carte postale published in Greece or in the Macedonia during the Ottoman rule of Greece. This type of postcards were published just after the Macedonian struggle conflicts ended. When the revolution of "Young Turks" in 1908, the new constitution promised to respect the right to self-determination of all ethnicities and religions. These postcards were later soon banned in the years before the Balkan Wars. Yero Tsiamis operated in various Greek Macedonian revolts against the Ottoman Empire |
