English: Hensrik Hamel, a Dutch national, stayed in Korea for 13 years in the 17th century to record Korea. In honor of those who recorded Joseon in the 17th century, the Yeosu city government opened an exhibition hall in October 2012.
한국어: 네덜란드 국적의 하멜 일행은 여수에서 3년 6개월 간 한국을 기록하였다. 17세기 조선을 기록한 그들을 기리기 위해 여수시는 2012년 10월 전시관을 개관하였다.
