| Description | Dead bison off the Yellowstone River Trail outside of Gardiner. Many bison and especially elk winter along the river in the North of the park, and the carcasses of weaker individuals can be seen regularly in the spring. This one might have been left alone by scavengers due to its proximity to town. |
