h, most sensibly and appro-priately planned for its place and purpose, and oneof the few artificial sights of the park, one mustnecessarily use the route via Livingston, the Gateof the Mountains, Paradise Valley, Yankee JimCanyon and the Gardiner Gateway. The attractive Northern Pacific Railway stationat Livingston, one of the finest in the West, forms afitting introduction to the park tour. The Northern Pacific station at Gardiner, constructed from boulders and symmetric pinelogs, is, perhaps, the most uni(iue,—and yetsimple—railway station in the country. It is im-mediately opposite the entrance arch and artificiallake at Gardiner, at the base of Electric Peak andSepulcher Mountain, the former more than 11,000feet high. 8 &;^Jpt3 tr^ . ^ _^ ^. , - guoi ojisi (qijoi (qjs fTTj^ rrxj rajai (qus ojs (^lO (3^151 iqOo rrxT rm rq^. -^^F ^ ) M r I —1 I g^ 17 . 1^:^—T __ .
