YELLOWSTONE LAKE AT LAKE HOTEL.9 improved, baths being added and its capacity largely increased,while roomy and attractive lunch stations have been erectedat Norris Geyser Basin and at the West Arm of YellowstoneLake. Old Faithful Inn, constructed at Upper Geyser Basin in 1903,has already become one of the most attractive and popular hotelsin the country. It is a structure of boulders and logs, peaks, angles,dormers, French windows, etc., artistically combined. The office is75 feet square and <;2 feet high to the peak of the roof, with bal-conies around three sides. A massive chimney 18 feet square andextending to and through the roof, with a fireplace at each sideand corner, or eight fireplaces in all, is a feature of this room.The dining room is a room 60 feet square, from which OldFaithful Geyser can be seen in eruption.
